A beginner friendly 6km hike to experience the diverse and beautiful flora and fauna of the Bibbulmun Track. Take in the rich history and heritage of the Mundaring Weir before embarking on a small section of one of the world’s great long distance walk trails, stretching 1000km from Kalamunda to the historic town of Albany on the south coast. With Jarrah, Wandoo and Marri the hot topics of trees on this section, you will be immersed into some truly spectacular bushland of Western Australia.
Join us as we head out on a special 6km hike loop along a highlight section of the famous Bibbulmun track. We will head across the Mundaring weir, up the Bibbulmun Track to the beautiful rocky outcrops of what locals call "South Ledge" for a morning rest to take in the views, before heading back to Mundaring Weir. Hear stories of the early days of the polarising development of the Goldfields pipeline, and the history of the Bibbulmun track.
