This is a fantastic 5km beginner friendly adventure along the iconic Bibbulmun Track. This track is one of the world’s great long distance walk trails, stretching 1000km from Kalamunda in the Perth Hills, to Albany on the south coast, winding through the heart of the scenic South West of Western Australia. This hike trail is a pleasant hike through the Beelu National Park, about a 40 minute drive from Perth, and nestled in the heart of the Perth Hills. As you wind through towering tuart forests and magnificent jarrah trees, you can enjoy the whistling of the beautiful birdlife, the native animals, and the stillness of nature.
We begin at the quirky Calamunda Camel Farm in Paulls Valley and head along a beautiful scenic and quite flat section of the Bibbulmun Track to the first campsite on the Track, Hewett's Hill Hut. We can sit a while and enjoy a snack or a bite to eat before heading back along the track in reverse to the Camel Farm.
