Tour Overview

Join The Hike Collective in collaboration with Cape To Cape Explorer Tours in this magnificent once in a lifetime opportunity to walk the famous Cape to Cape Track in Australia’s South West.  The iconic track with its unique flora and fauna, awesome coastal and inland views and high level of usage have contributed to it gaining recognition  in many parts of the world.  Enjoy this long distance walk in good company and with peace of mind, knowing that safety is our priority.

The Cape to Cape Track Guided 4 Day Easy Paced Experience centres on 4 days of walking over widely-varied terrain, which creates an array of sites and natural processes to wonder at. The Experience is a moderate walk covering 11-15km each day; a sound level of fitness is recommended prior to undertaking the journey.

This experience is based in shared accommodation in the wonderful beachside hamlet of Gnarabup. Guests will stay in a shared bedroom (single supplement for own room / bathroom available), shared living spaces and shared bathroom facilities at the wonderfully appointed Surfpoint Resort.

Your hike includes stunning and wild coastal landscapes, physical challenges, new friendships and hearty evening meals, with catering from Margaret River company Cape to Cape Movable Feast.

Our professional, local guides have extensive knowledge and experience interpreting the natural beauty of the Track. And you can enjoy all this long distance trail has to offer without carrying a heavy pack.

Walking up an appetite…

Margaret River is renowned for fresh, healthy produce – and wine! Savour delicious and nourishing meals prepared for you each day; indulge in boutique wine, olive and cheese tastings. Refresh your body with a dip in the ocean and sleep well in your comfortable lodgings amidst the gorgeous natural surroundings of Gnarabup Beach.

Minimal impact, maximum enjoyment & satisfaction…

DAY ONE | WILYABRUP CLIFFS TO ELLENBROOK

Wilyabrup Cliffs to Ellenbrook 15.23km

Drive yourself down from Perth this morning and meet at Yallingup carpark at 11am. Get a lift with Cape to Cape Explorer Tours to a small path that leads to the stunning sea cliffs that form the famous climbing buttresses of Wilyabrup Cliffs. After passing the cliffs, the Track drops back down onto the beach, passing the famous, though severe, surfing breaks of Gallows and Guillotines. The coast then turns decidedly rocky as it ducks and weaves over picturesque granite boulders and finally into the pretty hamlet of Gracetown. Relax here and enjoy an afternoon swim to sooth the muscles and mind! Next follow the low coastline to the historic settlement of Ellenbrook, then head to SurfPoint Resort to check in and enjoy the evening.

DAY TWO | ELLENBROOK TO SURFPOINT RESORT

Ellenbrook to SurfPoint Resort 13km

From Ellensbrook, the Track quickly leaves the coast and meanders through the sand dunes and past Ellensbrook homestead and Meekadarbee Falls. Visit the isolated coves of Gnoocardup and torquoise bay of Kilcarnup. Marvel at the centuries-old osprey nest in Horseshoe Bay and then take in some of the world's finest surfing coastline at Prevelly. Walk into your accomodation at at Surf Point Resort.

DAY THREE | GNARABUP TO REDGATE BEACH

Gnarabup to Redgate Beach 11km

From the limestone ridge at Prevelly head down into the sheltered creekline of Boodjidup Brook. Continue on and experience the white sands of Boodjidup before reaching historic Redgate Beach.

DAY FOUR | REDGATE BEACH TO BORANUP FOREST

Redgate Beach to Boranup Forest 12.5km

Today is very likely one of the best sections of the Cape to Cape Track: the scenic coastal cliffs at Bob’s Hollow and Contos (although we may be biased as CCET have adopted and maintain this leg!) Enter the majestic Karri forest, home to the world’s third tallest hardwood! The solid track under foot and afternoon shade of the karri forest make it all seem easy!

DAY FIVE | DEPARTURE

10am Check out of Surfpoint Resort and drive yourself back to Perth.
