Just one hour’s drive from Perth, the Chittering Valley is nestled in the northern hills of the Darling Range and provides untouched bushland and wetlands, spectacular wildflowers, and views. The picturesque gateway into Western Australia’s Wheatbelt region is the perfect place for you to immerse yourself in the country air and magic of the trails.
This 3km guided tour has been curated to offer a beginner-friendly hiking trail to showcase the incredible views of the Chittering Valley as part of the special edition pop-up ‘mystery’ hike series in the heart of Chittering.
From the beginner-friendly, 3 km Djidi Djidi Ridge Trail through to a 10km Avon Valley National Park adventure, and the option to combine both for a full day experience in the Chittering Valley, you will see everything from unique WA wildlife such as emus and kangaroos, to orange orchards and the abundance of unique wildflowers on show through the springtime.
This tour is surrounded by marri-wandoo woodlands, with footbridges crossing creeks and gentle slopes climbing gradually to the lookout of the Chittering Valley.
The Chittering Mystery Hiking Series is in partnership with major supporters, The Shire of Chittering, and The State government through the Department of Local Government, Sport, and Cultural Industries. Sport and recreation creates vibrant, inclusive and connected WA communities.
