Tucked into the hidden gem of one of Western Australia’s oldest settlement towns of Jarrahdale, Kitty’s Gorge is set in the Darling Ranges and surrounded by Jarrah forest. Located a pleasant one hour drive from Perth, the magnificent Kitty’s Gorge trail will find you hiking 17km return with a showcase of the forest’s iconic WA flora and fauna, allowing your senses to come alive as you see, hear and smell nature at its finest. With beautiful streams, gorges, and the famous Serpentine Falls ahead, this experience is jam packed with exciting challenges, and rewarding views.
We embark on a 17km return hike on Kitty's Gorge. Expect to see cascading waters, beautiful granite outcrops, abandoned cottages, and an abundance of wildlife and wildflowers on this amazing experience in Jarrahdale.
We leave from the Jarrahdale Cemetery, and head through the Jarrah Forrest until we arrive at Serpentine Falls. Enjoy a short morning tea break, before heading back on the trail towards Jarrahdale.
