Tucked into the hidden gem of one of Western Australia’s oldest settlement towns of Jarrahdale, Kitty’s Gorge is set in the Darling Ranges and surrounded by Jarrah forest. This escape to simplicity will empower you as you hike along the 17km return trail, showcasing the forest’s iconic WA flora and fauna, allowing your senses to come alive as you see, hear, and smell nature at its finest. Located a pleasant one-hour drive from Perth, and with beautiful streams, gorges, and the famous Serpentine Falls ahead, this experience is jam-packed with exciting challenges, and rewarding views.
We embark on a 17km return hike on Kitty's Gorge. Expect to see cascading waters, beautiful granite outcrops, abandoned cottages, and an abundance of wildlife and wildflowers on this amazing experience in Jarrahdale.
We leave from the Jarrahdale Cemetery, and head through the Jarrah Forrest until we arrive at Serpentine Falls. Enjoy a short morning tea break, before heading back on the trail towards Jarrahdale.
