Tour Overview

Endowed with rich Aboriginal mythology, tree-filled valleys and the cooling waters of the Swan River, Walyunga National Park is the home to some of Perth’s best hiking trails.

Join us for this fantastic wildlife spotting 6km hike ideal for families and first timers as we guide you from the lower Pool and follow along the Swan River to witness the amazing Syd’s Rapids. Take in the sights of the heathlands with hakeas, grevilleas, and many more.  Archaeological evidence shows the area has been used by local Aboriginal people for more than 40,000 years.

With a combination of beautiful views, national park scenery, abundance of flora and fauna, cultural history, and of course a chance for some wildlife spotting, this hike is a great adventure for the curious hiker.

*Although we have spotted echidnas and kangaroos on this trail before, this can not be guaranteed!*
