Tour Overview

Experience the wonder and beauty of The Glass House Mountains on this 6km hike that showcases the very best of this incredible National Heritage Registered landscape.  Immerse yourself in the ever changing environment where you’ll discover an abundance of Australian flora and fauna including Banksia Spinulosa and forests of stringybark and blackbutt. You may even spot some eastern grey kangaroos and whiptail wallabies, and you’ll almost certainly see (and hear) countless birds, such as the rainbow lorikeet and peregrine falcon, which inhabit the local area.

Perfect for beginners, your adventure begins at the base of Mount Tibrogargan and circles around to the Jack Ferris Lookout, where you’ll see breath-taking views of the Glass House Mountains and the surrounding plains which are the ancestral home of the Jinibara and Kabi Kabi peoples, the Traditional Owners of this area.

We continue along the trail and enjoy beautiful lush tree canopy which provides plenty of shade for a very enjoyable hike in all seasons. Our hike leads us back around to the Mount Tibrogargan viewing circle where you can enjoy the sounds of nature whilst looking at the majestic 364 meter tall mountain.

Come rain or shine, this trail is ideal for your enjoyment all year round, with Queensland’s signature stamp of forest canopy approval. The Glass House Mountains Guided Hike is located 60 minutes from Brisbane or 45 minutes from the Sunshine Coast.  It’s the perfect way to experience the beauty and wonder that Queensland has to offer.
