We take you on a fun and educational series of workshops over the summer months to engage and empower you to reach your trail adventure goals this year. Let us heat things up with our range of guided workshops.

The series includes:

– Trail Fit Finesse | A Guide to fitness & health for hiking 

Gear To Adventure | A Guide To gear and packing

 

Trail Fit Finesse 

In our fitness workshop, we will guide you through a 2km guided walk through Kings Park, with 4 designated workout stops. Each station will take you through some exercises that are helpful for improving cardiovascular endurance, balance, stability, core control, and more with our in-house qualified personal trainer and hike leader, Kate.

After your workout,  sit down and enjoy the cool taste of a cold pressed juice by our beautiful partners, Inner Ego Juices, while we go through some hike specific stretches, and training techniques, as well as a Q&A to find out even more about your own trail fitness journey.  The Q&A will also cover frequently asked questions on topics like “most common injuries and treatments”,  “blister care and management” as well as ” building better core to carry you along the trail”

This workshop is tailored for the complete beginner through to someone wanted to just finesse and fine tune their trail training program.  With over 10 years of personal training and hiking experience, Kate can tailor the training for all fitness levels and abilities so you will be sure to gain something from the session.

AMENITIES
Public toilets are located at the start and throughout this experience
ENTRY FEES TO KINGS PARK
No entry fees for the park payable.
CARPARK
We will be meeting at the grassed area next to ASPECTS Gift Shop and Gallery, which is next to the Whadjuk Carpark ( the main Carpark behind Frasers Restaurant). Parking is ample and free.
FITNESS PRE-REQUISITES
There are no pre-requisites for trail fitness prior to attending this workshop. The intention is to show you how you can improve your fitness from where you are right now, to where you want to be. We tailor the session based on YOUR abilities, so come along and have a great time.
CANCELLATION POLICY
No-shows and cancellations received within 48 hours of hike departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Cancellations within 2-7 days prior will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations received over 7 days in advance will receive a full refund or credit towards another hike experience. Please note that Rezdy fees are non refundable. Guests can transfer their booking to a friend with no penalty but must advise The Hike Collective so we can forward all booking information to the new attendee.

If The Hike Collective cancels an event due to weather or danger in any way, your ticket will automatically be moved to the new date, or you will be eligible to transfer amounts paid to another tour or receive a full refund.
