The Yanchep Ghost House Trail takes you on a cultural journey of the wilderness and wetlands of Yanchep National Park. See the new growth of the fire ridden wilderness, and explore the Ghost house of Yanchep on our 12km return hike designed specifically to showcase the unique biodiversity of the northern Swan Coastal Plain. As the trail has only just reopened after the fires, we have modified this trail to stay in the safe areas post fire.
After our hike, we will stroll along the 240-metre koala boardwalk to view one of Australia’s favourite native animals in a natural environment. Stick around after the tour concludes for a visit to the caves, cafe, or Yanchep Inn for a coffee or lunch post hike.
We embark on the 12km return hike along the Ghost House Trail to Shapcotts Cottage and the iconic Ghost House. Explore Loch Mcness, the wetlands, woodlands, and wilderness on this exciting trail. See the damage caused by the recent bushfires, and hear what the park are doing to recover.
