Tour Overview

The magnificent “Wreck to Woodies” tour highlights the rich history of the area, dating back to the early 1800’s, including such landmarks like the quarantine station, munitions bunker, lighthouse, and the iconic Omeo shipwreck. Enjoy a 6km beginner friendly trail, beginning at the Port Coogee Marina, and follow the coastline south enjoying stunning scenery of the Indian Ocean from Fremantle all the way to Rockingham. We stop to marvel at the partially submerged Omeo shipwreck, before continuing down onto the sandy shores of Coogee Beach. Once we reach Woodmans Point Jetty we head inland and enjoy a hint of the local bushland through the Woodman Point Reserve, offering us beautiful coastal views and shady trails.

WRECK TO WOODIES HIKE

Starting at the Port Coogee Marina, we will follow the coastline south enjoying stunning scenery of the Indian Ocean from Fremantle all the way to Rockingham. Our first stop will be viewing a partially submerged shipwreck and all of its history via it's interactive trail. From here we continue along and down onto the sandy shores of Coogee Beach. Once we reach Woodmans Point Jetty we will head inland and enjoy a harder surface home through the Woodman Point Reserve, offering us beautiful coastal views and shady trails.

AMENITIES
Public toilets are located 100m from the trailhead, and at the halfway turn around point.
ENTRY FEES TO NATIONAL PARK
No entry fees for park payable.
CARPARK
We will be meeting at the Port Coogee Marina, on the corner of Chieftain Esplanade and Pantheon Ave. The marina is a 30 minute drive south of the Perth CBD and nestled amongst the new Port Coogee residential area.
HIKE GRADING
This hike is a grade Two. It is suitable for families with young children. No bushwalking or hiking experience required. This trail follows hard trails, soft sand, and uneven bush trails. a perfect short distance combination for a summer adventure.
CANCELLATION POLICY
No-shows and cancellations received within 48 hours of hike departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Cancellations within 2-7 days prior will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations received over 7 days in advance will receive a full refund or credit towards another hike experience. Please note that Rezdy fees are non refundable. Guests can transfer their booking to a friend with no penalty but must advise The Hike Collective so we can forward all booking information to the new attendee.

If The Hike Collective cancels an event due to weather or danger in any way, your ticket will automatically be moved to the new date, or you will be eligible to transfer amounts paid to another tour or receive a full refund.
