Experience the wilderness areas of Yanchep National Park on this 12 km hike only one hour from Perth. Explore the sights and sounds of pristine wetlands that hold an abundance of natural and cultural history  in the Swan Coastal Plain. With limestone caves and cliffs, koala colonies, wildflowers and ghostly ruins, you will be immersed in Jarrah and Tuart woodlands as you hike beside Loch Mcness, and be amazed by the beauty and rich heritage of Yanchep National Park.  After we have marvelled the beauty of this trail, visit the 140m long Koala boardwalk, and enjoy close up views of the nine Koalas at the enclosure.

YANCHEP GHOST HOUSE TRAIL HIKE

This 12km hike along the Yanchep Ghost House Trail will have you immersed in Jarrah and Tuart woodlands as you hike alongbeside Loch Mcness, before coming across the Old Ghost House, the ruins of an old house that is now covered in vines and moss. Explore the limestone cliffs and caves as you continue down narrow paths and onto the old WWII bunkers.

What To Bring

  • Comfortable shoes such as trainers
  • Water bottle (at least 1L)
  • Sun protection and hat
  • Hiking poles if required
  • Cash or credit card to explore cafes, restaurants and other tour options like the crystal caves
  • No dogs allowed

AMENITIES
Toilets are available at the start of this tour.
ENTRY FEES TO NATIONAL PARK
All national park fees are payable upon arrival.
This is $15 per vehicle or free if you have a parks pass.
We recommend carpooling or purchasing a parks pass if you enter a National Park multiple times per year.
CARPARK
There is ample parking at Yanchep National Park, which is located about 40 minutes north of Perth CBD, off Wanneroo Rd. It is well signposted. We will be meeting at the grassed area infront of the Yanchep Inn, by the main car park. Please view our map for the exact location.
HIKE GRADING
This hike is considered grade three. It is suitable for most ages, and it is recommended for people with a moderate fitness level due to the length of 12km. Trails have short steep hills, rough surfaces, and sections of uneven ground.
CANCELLATION POLICY
No-shows and cancellations received within 48 hours of hike departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Cancellations within 2-7 days prior will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations received over 7 days in advance will receive a full refund or credit towards another hike experience. Please note that Rezdy fees are non refundable. Guests can transfer their booking to a friend with no penalty but must advise The Hike Collective so we can forward all booking information to the new attendee.

If The Hike Collective cancels an event due to weather or danger in any way, your ticket will automatically be moved to the new date, or you will be eligible to transfer amounts paid to another tour or receive a full refund.
