Tour Overview

Immerse yourself in the element of Water with a journey through the heart of the Kepwari Wetlands. Discover the significance of this life-giving element as you explore the ever-changing waterscapes that define this unique ecosystem.

The Kewpari Wetlands Wander takes you on a captivating 7 km journey where the element of Water is your constant companion. As you traverse this trail, experience the serenity and vitality that water brings to the wetlands. The word “Kepwari” means “Place of moving water” in the Noongar language, highlighting the significance of this element in shaping the landscape.

This easy to moderate hike is an invitation to witness the dynamic interplay of water in its various forms. The wetlands are a haven for an array of wildlife. Boardwalks and viewing platforms provide intimate encounters with the aquatic flora and fauna, offering a glimpse into the intricate balance of this vibrant ecosystem.

Experience the soothing and renewing qualities of water as you meander through the wetlands, surrounded by the gentle sounds of nature.

The “Grounded” Esperance Hiking Festival is in partnership with major supporters, Australia’s Golden Outback, and The State government through the Department of Local Government, Sport, and Cultural Industries.  Sport and recreation creates vibrant, inclusive and connected WA communities.
