The Hike Collective understands the importance of impact, and partnering with organisations who share the same vision as us allows us to reach more hikers, and have a stronger impact.  We have made a commitment to partner with the following organisations who are also dedicated to addressing environmental issues, or creating a mentally healthier WA.

Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions

Parks and Wildlife Service at the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions is committed to promoting biodiversity and conservation to enrich people’s lives, through sustainable management of Western Australia’s species, ecosystems, lands and the attractions in the department’s care. The Parks and Wildlife department run on ground operations under the following divisions:

  • Forrest and Ecosystem Management
  • Rivers and Estuaries
  • Parks and Visitors Services
  • Regional and Fire management Systems

The Hike Collective is a commercially licensed operator and closely adheres to all Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions licensing rules. By holding this license, and paying license fees and park entry fees, commercial operators contribute to the management and protection of the land so everyone can revisit them in an unspoiled condition and ensure that the conservation values of these areas are maintained in perpetuity.

Act-Belong-Commit

Act-Belong-Commit is a unique, evidence-based mental health promotion program applicable to the whole community. Their story began in 2002 when researchers at Curtin University were commissioned by Healthway to investigate people’s perceptions of mental health and the behaviours they believed protected and promoted good mental health. It has now expanded to other states and globally.

The Hike Collective is a proud partner with Act-Belong-Commit, and we believe that we can work together to increase individual and community wellbeing by increasing and strengthening connections between hikers in our community.

Hike It Out

Hike it Out is an environmental awareness campaign aimed specifically at building a hiking culture that holds everyone responsible for their own rubbish, and any they find along the way; it’s that simple.

Let’s reset the standards of what we do with litter. YOUR actions when finding rubbish will directly impact the next persons experience. You could also be saving an animals life, protecting our environment and contributing to the item being recycled properly.

The Hike Collective shares this vision, and we have taken the pledge to be environmentally focused when outdoors to minimise our impact. We pledge to Hike it Out with our litter and any extra we can take, aiming to leave all natural sights better than we found them.
