School Experiences - Hike Collective
Hike Collective

Western Australia is the most extraordinary classroom in the world.

Most schools spend the entire curriculum inside one. We take students into the terrain that makes this state remarkable, and let it do what no classroom can.

T

The room you meet in is doing more work than you think.

Environment shapes cognition, behaviour, and connection more reliably than any curriculum designed to do the same thing. We’ve spent a decade building experiences that use this.

Curated programs. Every year level, every learning area, every group size across Western Australia’s most extraordinary places.

The learning nobody planned for turns out to be worth more than anything on the worksheet. The pattern holds regardless of year level, cohort dynamic, or how reluctant the group was on the bus.

K

Kids connect through doing. Give them something worth doing.

If you need Science, HPE, HASS Geography, leadership, or wellbeing, you are in the right place.

Tell us the brief.  We’ll find the terrain.

Every enquiry starts with a conversation. Tell us your class size, what you’re trying to create, and when you’re thinking. We’ll come back within 24 hours with a tailored proposal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Explore our FAQs for quick answers, and if you have more questions, don't hesitate to reach out—we're here to help!

  • How is each program aligned to the WA Curriculum?

Every program is mapped to specific learning areas, content descriptions, and general capabilities. The Discovery Hunt anchors in Science (Biological Sciences), HASS (Geography), HPE, and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures Cross-Curriculum Priority. The Island Quest covers Science (ecosystems) and HASS Geography. The Wild Leaders Challenge sits in HPE (Personal, Social and Community Health). The Karijini Experience covers Science (Earth and Space Sciences), HASS Geography, and HPE outdoor learning.

  • Can experiences be customised for our school?

Every experience can customised. We start with what your students actually need.

  • What happens in bad weather?

We run rain, hail, or shine. Programs are cancelled only when Bureau of Meteorology warnings or genuine safety risks require it – in which case we reschedule to a date that suits the school, with no penalty. Students who arrive dressed for the weather generally have a better day than the forecast suggested they would.

  • How do we book a school Excursion with The Hike Collective?

Send an enquiry through the contact form or directly to [email protected]. We’ll come back within two working days with available dates, a draft itinerary, and a quote. Once you confirm, we send the full documentation pack.
