Ghost House Trail

We embark on the 13km return hike along the Ghost House Trail to Shapcotts Cottage and the iconic Ghost House. Explore Loch Mcness, the wetlands, woodlands, and wilderness on this exciting trail. See the damage caused by the recent bushfires, and hear what the park are doing to recover.

What To Bring

  • Hiking shoes or comfortable trainers
  • Water bottle (at least 1L)
  • Sun protection and hat
  • Hiking poles if required
  • Poncho if wet weather is forecast
  • Your snacks to enjoy at our half way stop
  • Cash or card to visit the cafe or Inn for lunch post tour
  • No dogs allowed as this is a National Park

Please park next to the Yanchep Inn.
HIKE GRADING
Based on the distance of this trail, it is recognised as a grade three. This is recommended for hikers with a moderate fitness. The trail is sometimes steep and uneven, and over sometimes rough terrain.
CANCELLATION POLICY
No-shows and cancellations received within 48 hours of hike departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Cancellations within 2-7 days prior will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations received over 7 days in advance will receive a full refund or credit towards another hike experience. Please note that Rezdy fees are non refundable. Guests can transfer their booking to a friend with no penalty but must advise The Hike Collective so we can forward all booking information to the new attendee.

If The Hike Collective cancels an event due to weather or danger in any way, your ticket will automatically be moved to the new date, or you will be eligible to transfer amounts paid to another tour or receive a full refund.
