    The Social Hike

Ten years ago, there was just a hike.

A free walk. A handful of strangers. A belief that moving through nature together could shift something that modern life has quietly broken.

    That belief hasn’t changed.

The Social Hike is a free monthly hike for people who believe connection matters.

Not connection as a buzzword. Not networking dressed up in activewear. Real connection. The kind that happens when you walk side by side instead of face to face. When you share a trail instead of a transaction. When you stop performing and just move.

We live in a world that has engineered isolation into everything. We work alone. We scroll alone. We sit in traffic alone. Surrounded by people and starving for connection. We know something is missing, but we won’t find it in another app, another event, another obligation.

The Social Hike isn’t complicated. Once a month, we walk. The trail changes. The people shift. The intention stays the same: show up, move together, remember what it feels like to belong to something beyond yourself.

This is for people tired of surface-level. The ones building lives that matter, without needing to prove anything or pitch anyone. The ones who know community isn’t a luxury. It’s a necessity.

If you believe there’s more to life than output but you’re not sure where to find people who agree, you’re in the right place.

First Saturday of every month. Free. Open to everyone willing to show up.

    The Fine Print

Registration required! Not because we’re exclusive, but so you get trail details.

We walk rain or shine. This is Perth. You’ll survive.

Trail Selection and Distance: Look, we know you’re the kind of person who needs all the details before you commit. Trails are selected within an hour of Perth CBD. Distance varies from 5-10km each month, with shorter options available.

Pace: Conversational. This isn’t a race.

Afterwards: Coffee for those who want to linger

    Cost: Free. Always.

Consistency matters. The people who come month after month become the community. (But you can also come once, or twice, no judgment!)

    Ten Years of Walking Together

2016: one hike, a handful of people, a belief that walking together could make a difference.

2026: 25,000 people guided through nature, eleven tourism awards, organisations across Australia.

But this, a free walk with good people on a Saturday morning, is still the heart of everything we do.

    Come walk with us.
