    Two Peaks Bibbulmun Tour Overview

Widely regarded as one of the best day hikes near Perth, and for good reason. Two Peaks covers 10km of the iconic Bibbulmun Track, takes in two summits, and does something to people that no amount of annual leave seems to manage.

Your journey begins at Sullivan Rock, a granite outcrop hidden in plain sight off Albany Highway, about an hour south of Perth. Thousands of cars pass it every week. Almost none of them stop (their loss). From here, you begin climbing through towering jarrah and marri forest toward the first summit, Mt Vincent. The trail earns your attention immediately. Steep in places, rocky in others, and the kind of quiet that takes about ten minutes to hear properly. On a clear day, the summit opens to unbroken bushland in every direction. No buildings, no roads, no evidence that anyone has ever tried to optimise this place for productivity. It is, frankly, magnificent.

From Mt Vincent, the trail drops into a valley of she-oak and wandoo before climbing again to the panoramic granite top of Mt Cuthbert. This is where we stop. This is where we eat. The 360-degree views have a way of making whatever felt urgent at 7am feel significantly less so, and the summit treat from your host only improves matters. (Altitude improves the taste of everything by roughly 40%. This is not peer-reviewed. It doesn’t need to be.)

Keep your eyes open along the way for the relatively rare Darling Range ghost gum, a pale, striking tree that stands out against the darker canopy like a guest who wandered into the wrong party and decided to stay anyway.

Here’s the part that’s hard to put on a brochure but easy to experience: somewhere around the second hour, the mental noise of the week loses its grip. Conversations between people go from careful to real. The version of you that got out of the car gets quietly replaced by one that thinks more clearly and says things it actually means.

We run Two Peaks regularly for corporate teams, leadership groups, and private bookings. It’s become one of our most requested experiences for organisations because shared physical effort builds the kind of team cohesion that no offsite agenda ever will. Public dates run often for individuals and small groups who want a proper day in the bush with people worth walking beside.

Bring water, bring snacks for the summit, and wear shoes with grip. We’ll take care of the rest.
