Beyond the Boots: Meet Lindsay
Lindsay, or as some know her on the trail, Morri, didn’t become a trail guide for the accolades or the step count. She became one for the feeling. That unmistakable stillness that settles in after hours outdoors. The moments of quiet awe that bloom beside red rock walls, birdsong, and strangers-turned-friends. The way nature softens the edges of life.
“The times I’ve been outside and on a trail have always been some of the best times of my life,” she says. “I wanted to share that with others.”
And share it she has. Not just the views and the footsteps, but something even rarer: joy.
They call her a “fun fact factory,” and she wears it like a badge of honour. Lindsay’s the kind of guide who makes you laugh and learn. Who somehow makes birdsong more magical and geology feel like a good yarn at a dinner party.
Kalamina Gorge in Karijini is her trail of choice.
“It’s an absolutely stunning gorge you can easily meander through, with some of the best views you’ll see in your life.”
It’s the kind of place that holds you gently, even as it leaves you changed.
Of course, if you’re lucky enough to be on one of her experiences, there’s always a little unexpected magic too.
Like the time she was talking to her group about dingoes, and one just walked right past.
Unscripted. Wild. Unforgettable.
The Trail Within
For Lindsay, every hike is a reminder to stay awake to the wonder.
“Be appreciative of everything around you. Don’t take it for granted. You don’t know how much longer it’ll be there for.”
It’s a lesson the trail whispers often, in the wind through wildflowers, the flight of birds, the crunch of boots on gravel. And it’s one she carries with her, off the trail and into life.
If you’re thinking about joining an experience but feel a little unsure, Lindsay has one simple encouragement:
“You don’t need the best gear. Just be open to new experiences and willing to try.”
Her ideal day on the trail isn’t about big peaks or hardcore endurance. It’s about a slow wander through remote areas. The chance to spot flowers and birds, to share a few laughs, and to end with sore legs and a phone full of photos.
You’ll likely find her in “airplane mode,” sitting still in some tucked-away spot, watching birds with a towel nearby, just in case there’s water to swim in.
It’s less about ticking off trails. More about tuning in.
When we asked Lindsay to name her dream job title, she didn’t hesitate:
“The Walker Talker.”
It’s perfect, really. She walks. She talks. She makes the outdoors feel more alive.
And if you caught her mid-hike, camera in hand, what would you see?
A smile. A bird overhead. A moment held gently, with joy.
That’s what she brings to every trail: not just knowledge, but delight.
And in that way, Lindsay reminds us that hiking isn’t just about where your feet take you.
It’s about how open your heart is when you get there.
