    Experience Overview

This year’s International Women’s Day theme is Give To Gain. It’s the recognition that women rise when we invest in each other, when we share what we know, and when we show up, even when no one’s watching.

    This hike is our contribution.

Two hours on trail with women you don’t know yet. A sunset on the ocean, a grounding practice on the sand as the light fades. This is about the thing itself: women walking together through landscape that has been holding space for exactly this kind of gathering for thousands of years.

Happiness Co Foundation exists because too many people are left alone in their hardest moments. The Hike Collective exists because we believe the right places with the right people can shift something that nothing else reaches. This partnership brings both of those beliefs onto the same trail.

Give To Gain asks us to do something, not just post something.

    This is ours.

    The Experience

We begin in Trigg bushland as the afternoon softens. The trail winds through coastal scrub, banksia, tuart, the smell of salt reaching you before you see the ocean.

The pace is unhurried. We walk at a speed that allows conversation to unfold naturally, or comfortable silence if that’s what you need.

As the terrain opens to coastline, we transition to beach. Sand underfoot, ocean beside us, the sky beginning to turn.

We finish together on the sand for a grounding experience at sunset and a chance to pause and breathe before stepping back into your week.

    Perfect For

Letting the week go There’s a reason people stare at the ocean. The rhythm of it, the horizon line, the sound does something your thinking mind can’t do for you. Beach at sunset is where you finally stop holding everything so tightly.

Marking a threshold Sunset is an ending that asks to be noticed. Watching the sun meet the ocean gives you a natural place to draw a line or to close what needs closing before something new begins.

Perspective Standing on sand with the sky wide open and other women beside you, the things that felt urgent this morning start to look different. Not solved, but right-sized.

Finding your people Some of the best conversations happen when you’re not facing each other. You’ll leave knowing there are women in this city who get it.

    The Partnership

Happiness Co Foundation builds resilience before crisis hits. They work upstream through prevention, education, and genuine human connection. That’s the same philosophy we bring to every experience at The Hike Collective.

This IWD, we’re combining what we each know to create something that actually moves the needle.  Not on awareness, but on connection. On women leaving with phone numbers in their pocket and plans to meet again. On building the kind of networks that catch people before they fall.

    That’s Give To Gain.
