Welcome to part two in the 6-part series of Six Seasons Trails. Join us for a beautiful late afternoon exploration of Armadale Settlers Common, nestled in the foothills of the Darling Scarp. This 4.5 km loop trail offers a peaceful hike through native bushland, perfect for families and dog lovers, with its dog-friendly (on-lead) policy.
Expect to encounter a mix of stunning flora and fauna, from vibrant wildflowers like Matted Triggerplants and the Nuytsia, our native Christmas tree, to frequent sightings of native wildlife including Western Grey Kangaroos, Western Spinebill, and the iconic Red-tailed Black Cockatoos.
Reconnect with nature, experience the beauty of Armadale’s hidden gem, and enjoy a guided journey through the magic of the Birak season on the Birak Bidi.
Part three of the series will kick off in Bunuru in February 2025 with tickets available soon.
The Six Seasons Trail Series is in partnership with major supporters, City of Armadale, Waitoc, and The State government through the Department of Local Government, Sport, and Cultural Industries. Sport and recreation creates vibrant, inclusive and connected WA communities.

Armadale Settlers Common
Your friendly guide will meet you in the carpark Armadale Settles Common on Observation Circuit, off Canns Road. We will also send you more information on getting there closer to your booking date.
My husband, son and I along with friends, a group of around 11 of us walked the Victoria Dam/Korung National Park hike (Bickley area) late yesterday afternoon/early evening. Kelly, our guide was most informative about the history of this remote area. First time we had hiked with Hike Collective, felt very safe despite the walk being of a moderate rated walk, very hilly at times, 7kms (approx) ending up at Victoria Dam which was truly spectacular. Great to get out and about in our own 'back yard', especially with a guide. Will definitely be hiking again with this company, thanks so much.
Great day out with the Hike Collective Team. Look forward to the next one.
Hike guides are organised and well informed. Lots of information about the local area, its history and plenty of opportunities to take photos. Love that you can do the hike "your" way while knowing that there is support and advice if needed.
Thanks Kate and crew for another fantastic hike.
