The Hike Collective x Jordan Doropoulos

A guided hike through Yanchep National Park, 75 minutes of movement, breath, meditation and sound inside Cabaret Cave, and a cold-pressed juice to finish.

BENEATH is a one-off collaboration between The Hike Collective and Jordan Doropoulos, bringing together two things we both believe in deeply: spending time in wild places, and creating enough space to notice what is happening while we are there.

    We begin outside.

Your Hike Collective host will lead you through Yanchep National Park, following the limestone landscape, water and bushland that sit above one of the most fascinating cave systems in the area.

We’ll look for western grey kangaroos, visit the koalas, walk through the gorge and notice some of what most people move straight past.

    Then we go beneath it.

A staircase takes us down into Cabaret Cave, where the temperature drops, the light changes and the acoustics become part of the experience.

For 75 minutes, Jordan will guide a practice created specifically for the cave, weaving together gentle movement, yoga, breathwork, meditation and sound.

You do not need to be “good at yoga”, or “flexible”, and you certainly do not need to arrive feeling particularly calm.

The cave has a way of changing the conditions for you.

Afterwards, we come back into the light, share a cold-pressed juice, and continue with time to talk and notice where we are.

This experience has been designed as one experience, moving from the landscape above to the cave beneath it and back again.

    WHO BENEATH IS FOR

    For The Hike Collective community

If you already love discovering WA on foot, this is a chance to experience Yanchep differently.

There is still walking, wildlife, limestone, interpretation and the kind of small details our guides love showing you, but this time we get to spend part of the experience somewhere we very rarely get to linger.

    Underground.

    For Jordan’s community

If you know Jordan through yoga, breathwork, sound or meditation, this is an opportunity to take that practice outside the studio.

The cave changes the experience completely.

The temperature, acoustics, darkness and sheer age of the place give the practice a quality that cannot be recreated indoors.

And before and after it, you get to move through one of Perth’s most beautiful national parks with people who know the landscape properly.

And for everyone somewhere in between

You can come because you love being outside.

You can come because you love yoga or hiking.

You can come because you are curious about movement, breathe, sound, or any of the above.

Or you can come because spending a Sunday walking through a national park and disappearing into a limestone cave for 75 minutes sounds considerably better than whatever you normally do with your afternoon.

No yoga experience required. The hike will be approachable and relaxed. Come on your own if you want to, as a lot of our guests do.

Jordan brings together movement, breath, meditation and sound in a way that feels grounded, generous and deeply human. For BENEATH, he brings that experience underground for a practice created specifically for Cabaret Cave.

    What our guests are saying

    • Fantastic Experience

The whole experience was amazing! Yoga in the Cabaret Cave was not to be missed! I have not done yoga for years but that did not matter. Yoga was followed by a refreshing drink and time to drop your yoga mat in the car before setting off on the Hike. The hike was done at your own pace with the Hike Collective having people at the front and behind - so that nobody got left behind. There was even time for photos. Absolutely fantastic experience and would highly recommend!

    • The best Sunday ever catching up with my friend while enjoying yoga in the cave and a relaxing hike afterwards.

We were made feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Great directions given on how to get to Caberet Cave .The afternoon activity inclusions were explained clearly as well, so it was truly a stressfree experience. Yoga in the cave was wonderful, and the juice afterwards was delicious. During the hike, we were able to see kangaroos, koalas, and a native beehive on our journey through Yanchep National Park, which was beautiful. It was a wonderful experience overall, and I would definitely recommend it.

    • Great yoga & hike experience

The cave was stunning & the yoga was gentle & beginner friendly with very clear, easy to follow instructions. The hike was moderately paced with our guide sharing interesting information about the bush & history along the way, she was a little hard to hear though. We loved our time in Yanchep.
